How Tech OG Started

After taking time off to raise her young family, Sarah Hebeler faced the challenge of reentering the workforce without compromising time at home. She explored various paths, from substitute teaching to launching a furniture upcycling business. Throw in a global pandemic for added complication, and any progress came to a standstill—until a former colleague encouraged her to revisit her extensive experience in operations geology and drilling.

She returned to the industry in an entry-level role building wellbore diagrams and quickly reestablished her technical footing. As her skills grew, so did the opportunity. What began as a solo consulting effort evolved into Tech OG—a business built on experience, resilience, and Sarah’s vision to create meaningful work for others.

Sarah Hebeler

Founder & President

A petroleum geologist and certified PMP with 15+ years in the energy industry, Sarah brings a strategic, solutions-driven mindset to every project. Her work spans wellbore engineering, operational geology, and regulatory compliance—with a focus on improving process and performance. Outside of work, she’s a puzzle enthusiast, science lover, and a dedicated mom of teenagers (and a few energetic dogs).

Heather Stang

Vice President, PG (Professional Geologist)

A licensed Professional Geologist with a decade of experience, Heather blends technical insight with strategic thinking across geology, decision quality, and project management. She leads client relationships and supports wellsite planning, permitting, and restoration efforts. When she’s not at work, Heather enjoys winemaking, learning new skills, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Aaron Hebeler

Senior Leader

With 15+ years of technical and executive experience, Aaron specializes in subsurface strategy, land acquisition, and capital project execution across the energy sector. He brings a sharp eye for solving complex challenges and leading high-impact, cross-disciplinary initiatives. Outside of work, he’s a committed dad, endurance athlete, and loyal dog person.

Heather Sweazae

Engineering Technician

With 8 years in the oil and gas industry, Heather specializes in wellbore diagramming and technical analysis. She combines creative problem-solving with strong attention to detail, supporting teams with everything from well history reviews to digital content. Outside the field, she’s a team player who enjoys collaboration, learning, and building meaningful solutions.

Leah Adkins

Engineering Technician

Leah is an Engineering Technician with 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, supporting regulatory reporting, idle well management, and wellbore diagram development. Known for her precision and reliability, she plays a key role in keeping projects organized and compliant. Outside of work, Leah enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.

Courtney Arney

Geoscience Technician

With over a decade of experience in geology, data science, and regulatory support, Courtney brings a well-rounded understanding of subsurface operations and compliance in the energy sector. She specializes in data governance, regulatory reporting, and geologic interpretation. Off the clock, she’s an avid camper, gardener, and mom of three always chasing the next outdoor adventure.
